Just Hanging Out

Monet is getting a bit chubby but you can't tell by looking at her because she has so much hair. Here is a photo of her and  one of her cute belly. You may notice that she has a double nipple which I'm calling her "twofer".

Monet Definitely has Four Puppies

We went to see Dr. Michelle Shoemaker at South Bay Veterinary Hospital for Monet to have an x-ray yesterday. It was day 53 of the pregnancy. Now we know that there are definitely four puppies and when the fourth is delivered we can relax knowing that's it. Here are some photos of the x-ray. You will be able to see the puppy's skeletons and heads. Dr. Shoemaker marked the heads with a dot. They are lying lengthwise with two heads up top and two down at the pelvis. Amazingly enough, they can turn around and all this can change the day of delivery. Only one more week to go!

Monet's Ultrasound at 31 days gestation

Here are some more pictures from yesterday's vet visit. These photos are of myself and Monet. Dr. Hook thinks there will be 4 puppies.

At the Vet's

Monet went to the Vet today for her gestational ultrasound and future puppy parents, Gene and Rebecca drove down to see her and take part in the process. Considering having to lie on her back in the dark and have cold gel on her belly, Monet handled it all really well. Gene just happened to have with him just the right technology to download the images. I'll attach an "after the ultrasound photo" of Monet with them.
