IT'S TIME FOR DINNER!!

Thought I'd share with you what I feed my dogs. The kibble is First Mate New Zealand Lamb and the raw food is Instinct Venison or Lamb. Then I add some carrots, apple and some fresh spinach. They also get salmon oil in a capsule some "Show Coat". They like it a lot.

SUGAR BAY'S BERINGER, 9 MONTHS!

Beringer is 9 months old and a chunky monkey. His coat is huge and actually easy, so far, to care for. He has never developed any eye staining. I'm not sure but I think it may be due to his diet of raw food and First Mate (no grain) kibble. All the dogs get this as well as salmon oil, fresh apple, carrots and lightly steamed broccoli. He is already half way (5 points) toward his Canadian Kennel Club championship. He's daddy is Cowboy's Rio Bravo who, by the way, won the breed last year at the 2010 World Dog Show in Denmark. This was out of 140 Cotons! Beringer is such a sweet gentle boy and loves to bring me his toys and when I pick him up he likes to snuggle.

CLOUSEAU WINS TWO GROUP 2 AT THE OCEANSIDE KENNEL CLUB CKC SHOW IN BC CANADA

Last week-end my friend Carol with her Cavalier "Diamond", and me with both Clouseau and Beringer drove the 4 plus hour drive to Maple Ridge BC Canada to be in the Oceanside Kennel Club CKC dog show. We took off early on Friday morning for ring time of 1:30 PM and since I wanted to follow the GPS directions, we went way out of our way to get there and almost didn't make the ring time! Beringer (Sugar Bay's Beringer) won 4 points (need 10) toward his CKC Championship and as a puppy, nicely done.

Clouseau (Sugar Bay's Anything Goes Clouseau) blew me away by winning Group 2 twice in the Toy Group when there were 13 different Toy breeds in the ring. This is my favorite picture of the two. He will be a new daddy soon. He was bred to my friend Annika's female, Mapixie FiFi Rayon de Soleil. Check her website for puppy delivery updates by googling Mapixie Cotons. They are due April 13th.

We had a great time with all the Canadian Coton folks! I'll keep you posted on the next show in Canada coming up in two weeks.

Ziggy could not have been happier. She loved everyone.

BERINGER AND ZIGGY GO TO "MEET THE BREEDS" AT THE SEATTLE KENNEL CLUB DOG SHOW

Yesterday, my friend Marla and I participated in "Meet the Breeds" at the Seattle Kennel Club Dog Show. I took both Beringer and Ziggy who were great ambassadors for the breed.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Let the wild rumpus begin! After I finally got every hair in place, just like a bunch of kids getting ready for a family photo, they all ran outside and got wet in the heavy rain. So we did it again. They had a wonderful time tearing open their presents. Of all the toys, the favorites were a fox with a plastic bottle inside (makes a great cracking noise), the "snake", and three squeaky sausage links. The top photo is of Beringer and the line-up on the sofa is from left to right: Oscar, Jamaica, Clouseau, Monet, Ziggy and Beringer. It was a Merry Christmas.

BIGGEST DOG SHOW IN CANADA

Last week-end we drove up to Abbotsford to go to the "Biggest Dog Show in Canada" The Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of British Columbia Dog Show; October 28,29,30,31 2010. Clouseau was entered in Open class and Beringer came along for the ride.
The new West Coast Coton Club had set up a beautiful table for a Meet the Breed. We had a wonderful time, Clouseau finished all the points needed for his Canadian Kennel Club Championship and won Best of Breed on Saturday and got to be on TV in the Toy Group, which will be televised on Dec. 11 and 12th on TSN, a Canadian sports channel.
