SUGAR BAY'S MADEMOISELLE MONET AND MI-TOI'S ICON HAVE PUPPIES 5/27/14

It's a beautiful healthy litter of three boys and one girl. Monet is a great mom and is taking excellent care of them. They will be 2 weeks old next Tuesday (today is June 7, Saturday) and will probably have their eyes wide open then. They are really strong and moving around the whelping box with gusto and making pretty good attempts to get up on all fours. I'm hoping the little girl will be show quality. She's looking very beautiful so far. The boys are all absolutely stunning. Blue, Green and Red are the boys. I took the collars off. I might want to put them back on! They were really helpful! The photos range from 2 days to 10 days old.

ZIGGY HAS HER RALLY ADVANCED TITLE !!!

Ziggy Did It !!
Bar-Ken Ziggy's Stardust is a very intelligent girl! Now she has her Advanced Title in Rally Obedience and next on the bucket list is getting her Rally Excellent Title. We tried this with Oscar and failed four times :-( It's not easy. He was a lot to control and it was either him or me that kept us from getting it. He has his Advanced Title too. Ziggy on the other hand is cool under pressure. Not sure how she'll react to a bowl of tempting treats in the ring though and if she'll listen to me to ignore them. Hope that if this happens they'll use the cheap stuff….she's very picky.

SUGAR BAY’S ELEANOR RIGBY WENT TO EUKANUBA

Ellie went on her first plane flight from Seattle to Orlando to go to the Eukanuba Dog Show. She traveled under the seat in front of me for the trip and slept the entire time. Ellie is only 9 mo old. She was a delightful traveler and hotel companion.

Ellie won Best of Opposite Sex in the Puppy Sweeps competition. Thank you to Judge Mrs. Kennette Tabor for recognizing her future potential and USACTC for the beautiful Coton dog bowl, made by Debby Carmen at Faux Paw Productions. Also a big thank you to all USACTC board members and our President, Debra Nemrow. Pat Enright is a stellar Ring Steward! We had a wonderful time, got to see a lot of nice dogs and bitches :-)

July 2014 we will be fully recognized by AKC and in the Non-Sporting Class. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

BERINGER & I MEET JUDGE PATRICIA TROTTER

Just got the photo of Beringer with Judge Patricia Craige-Trotter. Her book, "Born to Win, Breed to Succeed, is one of my favorites. I brought it with me to the show and she signed it for me. It was a big thrill. She is one of the greats.

INTRODUCING SUGAR BAY'S ELEANOR RIGBY!!

Here's "Ellie" at 4 months of age. She's no slouch when it comes to playing with the big kids and loves adventure and getting dirty. We have to wait until she's 6 months old before we can enter an AKC show so we've gone to one UKC show and an IABCA show where she did some puppy winning and got a lot of practice.

Here she is at 8 weeks with Pat Hastings for her evaluation. She's eating cheese :-) All kids are doing well.

BAR-KEN ZIGGY'S STARDUST BIRTHDAY PARTY!! 9 YEARS YOUNG

Barbara Adcock, Ziggy's breeder of Bar-Ken Cotons, brought little Ziggy to me from her home in Texas when we were both going to be at the USACTC National Specialty near Washington DC . Ironically, Ziggy went on to win the USACTC National Specialty the following year in 2005 when she was only 14 months old and with 50 plus Cotons entered. Today was a great day for a party. Everyone got a present and had a great time ripping off the wrapping (best part) and what I now call a"cheese ball" or "stuff'n throw". Happy Birthday and many more Ziggy!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAZ & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Looking at how long it has been since I've posted something. ...Long time! Guess I have to have a good photo, and this one was perfect for the season. It was taken a couple of weeks ago at the AKC show in Ridgefield, WA (just north of Portland, OR). This is Beringer, World Winner in Salzburg this year. He won over his brother Clouseau twice (has lost to him many times) and the second day Beringer won the Miscellaneous group of several different breeds. The Judge, Bill Shelton, judged the breed many times at ARBA shows in California. It was a very nice win.

Hope everyone is enjoying Christmas and hope too that the New Year will bring joy to all dogs and people alike.....and everything else on the planet.
