CLOUSEAU AND I WENT TO THE AACDT NAT'L AND REGIONAL SPECIALTY IN ORLANDO FLORIDA
Last week-end Clouseau and I were in Orlando Florida for the AACDT National and Regional Specialty. Clouseau won Winners Dog on the second day for the Regional Specialty. It was a very special win since he was only 7.5 months old. I don't have the official photos yet but will post them when I get them. Here is one that was sent to me by other Coton people at the show.

EMPTY NEST HERE AT SUGAR BAY
We are having an empty nest feeling here at Sugar Bay. All the puppies (Sasha, Jane and Watson) have gone to their new homes ... and I'm sure they are loving all the attention. Last week-end Gene and Rebecca and sweet Sherlock (Jane's nephew) came on Saturday to pick up Jane, and on Sunday Gwen and Justin got Watson for his long trip back to Bethesda, MD.

SEPTEMBER 3RD: PUPPIES GO TO VET FOR FIRST VACCINATION AND INTERNATIONAL MICROCHIP
PAT KAPP'S MEMORIAL
Vi Day came up to visit, go to Pat Kapp's memorial and pick up her new little show puppy, "Sasha". Cindy Robinson came too as well as Barbara Adcock who flew all the way from Texas to be there. Other Coton people there were Joyce and Roger who have "Prince" who they got from Pat 11 years ago. Pat's memorial was beautiful. We got to hear so many stories about Pat. It was so very sad and yet we found things to laugh about. We will all miss her dearly.

EXPLORING THE OUTDOORS ON A SUNNY DAY
This month has not been the best. I've had two dear friends pass away. Pat Kapp, my Oscar's breeder died from pancreatic cancer and my friend of over 30 years that could always make me laugh until I cried, June, who died of a malignant brain tumor. Nothing better than having puppies to cheer one up. Here are some photos of the kids.

CLOUSEAU ON THE GARDEN BENCH; WANTS TO PLAY WITH NEW KIDS
AUG. 4TH AND FINALLY COOLER WEATHER
I haven't been writing because it's just been too hot here. Today has been an absolutely delightful day with temperatures down in the 70's. I moved the puppies "day place" to the bigger pen (Richell Expandable Pet Pen) and put a low edged pan at one end for poops and pees. I may need to move the litter pan a bit closer to the bed end because they haven't always made it all the way to the pan. Prior to this, I had them in a split crate with one end being the bed and the other with the litter. The two parts were closer together, therefore greater success in the pee department. Who wants to walk that far.

ZIGGY'S LITTER AT THREE WEEKS
Every day they change a little. Here they are at 3 weeks 2 days. Their pigment is really coming in now. Little girl #2 a bit more slowly but that is normal. I've started litter training; taking the top off of a crate and butting it up against the bottom and placing a wee wee pad with litter on top in one end and their bed in the other. When they start to explore they will find themselves in litter land. I'll also place them there when they first wake up from a nap and get they get the idea after a couple of weeks.

THE NEW KIDS WILL BE TWO WEEKS OLD TOMORROW
And finally, here are the new kids. They will be two weeks old tomorrow. Time flys. Their eyes are just barely starting to open. Girl one, then girl two, then boy one.
OSCAR, MONET, CLOUSEAU, EDDIE, ZIGGY AND TAPANGA LINE UP
Vi and her daughter, Christina, drove all the way from Arizona to see Pat Kapp and to pick up two of Pat's Cotons. Pat is very ill and having a tough time taking care of them. Tapanga got a hair cut and looks great. I decided to line them all up on the concrete bench in the back yard and take their picture. I had a clicker with an extendable antenna and red ball. It was a hoot getting them to stay put.
