Fun In The Sun

I think the most difficult thing to do is to get all three of them in the same photo. Here they are: Clouseau, Gadget and Holmes.

Right now they are listening to a CD by Legacy, " Canine Behavior & Training": Sounds Good, Puppy Habituation. Sounds of vacuuming, dogs barking, dishes (they get that for real), fireworks, thunder and the crazy rumpus of children playing.

More of the Inspecteurs Day Outside

The Inspecteurs Adventure on a Sunny Day

What a beautiful day we are having in the Pacific Northwest. The boys are out on their second adventure in the outside world.

First Bath

More photos. Last evening all three had their first bath. They were a little frightened at first but we went slow and did some teaching and they all did really really well. I have a blower that has a rheostat to adjust the air volume. It's very nice for puppies because it is quiet and has a very low speed.

New Puppy Pen for Clouseau, Gadget and Holmes

The boys are officially out of their divided crate in the bedroom off of the kitchen and are now in their new big boy puppy pen in the kitchen. With the divided crate, they learned which end was for sleeping and where to go potty, or as we say "fait pee pee". They learn this really fast. They aren't always perfect at first but when started at 3 weeks of age, by the time they are 5 weeks old they know where to go. This is wonderful. Later they will transition to outside.

When they were out playing in the kitchen one actually made it back into the pen to find the litter box. He got a lot of praise for that. It is a very smart breed. They have also learned how to drink out of the Lixit bottle. Curious, they bumped their nose on it and licked it.

I took some photos of them over the last couple of days. They are all having bad hair days because they need to have their first bath. Probably will happen this week-end and they will be more fluffy.

They move into different places depending on what I'm doing. Daytime in the kitchen in and out of the puppy pen and also on the deck; Evening in the living room, and night time upstairs for sleeping. They have been a very quiet litter, just making playing noises when they tackle each other.

April Fools Day and the Boys

Yesterday I went to the grocery store and came across a cute Easter Basket and a Bunny Rabbit toy. Today I took some photos of the boys in the basket with the bunny. I tried to keep them in birth order as 1-2-3 left to right when they are all the the basket together. It's a little basket. I think they enjoyed the snug fit. Their pigment is coming in and little 2 boy's right eye hasn't filled in yet so he looks like he's winking. I started calling him Blinker. The other two are just like book ends and when I weigh them every morning they are exactly the same weight down to a 1/4 ounce. Today they weighted, left to right 1-12.5 oz, 1-8.75, 1-12.5. They gain about one oz a day and when they were born they were around 6 oz. Monet gets three big meals a day to keep up with them. All is going well and we are having fun.
