PHOTO OF MONET

It's the pacific northwest, the SUN is out, or what we would call the golden orb. So I took this photo of Monet.

WHO'S YOUR DADDY?

I was thrilled to hear this morning that the sire of Monet's up and coming litter, Cowboy's Rio Bravo, won Best of Breed at the World Dog Show in Denmark. This was out of, from what I hear, 145 Cotons! I'm hoping for some very nice puppies. Here is a photo of him with Carmen Ortiz who is such a great handler, and the Judge. Brenda Magnon is his breeder and he is from Barbara Adcock, Bar-Ken Cotons lines. He also won our USACTC National Specialty last month in Kentucky where I got to go over him and I have to say he is superbly put together and has a sweetheart temperament. CONGRATULATIONS!

OSCAR EARNED HIS AKC RALLY OBEDIENCE ADVANCED TITLE JUNE 12 - 13th 2010

In Rally Obedience your dog has to score over 70 points out of 100 to qualify for each leg. There are three at each level: Novice, Advanced and Excellent. Oscar had completed his Novice title and one leg of his Advanced nearly two years ago. The AKC show in Puyallup was coming up and we decided to go. We went out to K-9 Kapers for a couple of lessons from Karen Canard in Shelton, WA. Oscar was great and so was Karen. It is amazing how smart the Coton is.... and especially my dear Oscar.
The first day Oscar scored a 74. Whew, just made it. You need to know that this is all off lead with jumps and turns and sits etc. The second day, he scored a 92 and won 3rd place out of 16 dogs! I couldn't be more proud of him. Here is his picture with AKC Judge, Patricia Maynard.
