EXPLORING THE OUTDOORS ON A SUNNY DAY

This month has not been the best. I've had two dear friends pass away. Pat Kapp, my Oscar's breeder died from pancreatic cancer and my friend of over 30 years that could always make me laugh until I cried, June, who died of a malignant brain tumor. Nothing better than having puppies to cheer one up. Here are some photos of the kids.

CLOUSEAU ON THE GARDEN BENCH; WANTS TO PLAY WITH NEW KIDS

Here's a photo of Clouseau. I think he needs a bath and a scrunchy, or something to hold his hair back. He's such a cutie. He's been wanting to get in with the puppies to play.

AUG. 4TH AND FINALLY COOLER WEATHER

I haven't been writing because it's just been too hot here. Today has been an absolutely delightful day with temperatures down in the 70's. I moved the puppies "day place" to the bigger pen (Richell Expandable Pet Pen) and put a low edged pan at one end for poops and pees. I may need to move the litter pan a bit closer to the bed end because they haven't always made it all the way to the pan. Prior to this, I had them in a split crate with one end being the bed and the other with the litter. The two parts were closer together, therefore greater success in the pee department. Who wants to walk that far.

104 DEGREES IN OLYMPIA

We had some over-the-top hot temperatures = 104 degrees here in the northwest a few days ago. Here are some photos of the new kids on one of these hot days enjoying an ice pack (under the little blue blanket). The little boy LOVED to lay on top of it.
